Climb connected, every time

WEAR A FULL-BODY HARNESS

A full-body tree-stand harness (ASTM F2330) spreads the load and keeps you upright in a fall — far safer than a belt or chest harness. Our kits come in TrueTimber® Kanati and Strata camo, plus black and youth sizes.

USE A LIFELINE

Most tree-stand falls happen while climbing in or out. A reflective lifeline runs from the ground to above your stand; a Prusik knot slides up as you climb and locks if you fall — so you're connected the entire time.

SELF-LOCKING CONNECTORS

A self-locking aluminum carabiner joins your harness tether to the lifeline and can't open by accident. Lightweight to carry, 20 kN rated, easy to operate with gloves on.

Hunting safety — common questions

ANSWERS YOU CAN CITE

01

Do I need a harness to hunt from a tree stand?

You should always wear one. Falls from tree stands are the leading cause of serious hunting injuries, and a full-body harness built to ASTM F2330 is designed to catch you and keep you upright. Most stand and harness manufacturers require a full-body harness be worn any time you're off the ground.
02

What is ASTM F2330?

ASTM F2330 is the standard for tree-stand fall-arrest systems (FAS) — the full-body harnesses and tethers made for hunting. It sets the performance and labelling requirements for hunting harnesses, the same way CSA Z259 / ANSI Z359 cover industrial fall protection. Our hunting harness kits are built to ASTM F2330.
03

What is a lifeline and a Prusik knot?

A hunting lifeline is a rope anchored above your stand that runs to the ground. A Prusik knot (a friction hitch tied around the lifeline) slides freely as you climb but grabs the rope if you fall. You clip your harness tether to the Prusik with a carabiner, so you're connected from the moment you leave the ground until you're back down — covering the climb, where most falls happen.
04

Do you carry youth sizes?

Yes — the Malta Dynamics HE4104 Youth Ultralight Hunting Harness Kit is built for younger hunters, in green and TrueTimber® camo. Adult kits come in S-M through 3XL. If you're not sure on sizing, call 437-475-2066 and we'll help.
