Frontline COP02-10K anchor plate questions answered
Is the Frontline COP02-10K anchor plate CSA certified?
No. It is built to ANSI Z359.18, ANSI A10.32, OSHA 1926 and OSHA 1910. Check with your authority having jurisdiction whether an ANSI/OSHA anchorage connector is accepted on your site; if you need a CSA-marked anchor, contact us and we will point you to one.
What comes in the box with the anchor plate?
The galvanized plate and the concrete anchor bolts for its four pre-drilled holes. When you re-set the plate in concrete, use new wedge bolts; the used ones must be replaced.
Can I mount it on steel instead of concrete?
Yes. Frontline rates the plate for cured concrete or steel structures, in a horizontal or vertical position.
Is it a temporary or a permanent anchor?
Either. Leave it bolted in place as a permanent tie-off, or unbolt it and move it to the next job.
How many workers can tie off to one plate?
One. The plate has a 10,000 lb minimum breaking strength and a user capacity of 130 to 310 lb including tools.
Does it need inspection before use?
Yes. Inspect the plate, bolts and substrate before every use and have a competent person inspect it on a schedule. Remove it from service after any fall or if it shows damage, deformation or corrosion.
