How to choose a Frontline lanyard

MATCH THE GEAR TO THE JOB

SINGLE OR TWIN

Single-leg for one anchor; twin-leg to move between anchors without unclipping.

HOOKS

Snap hooks for D-rings and anchor connectors; rebar hooks for steel and rebar.

CLEARANCE

Lanyards need more clearance than SRLs; do the math before you clip in.

CertificationFrontline products are rated to ANSI Z359 / OSHA, not CSA Z259. Many Canadian sites accept ANSI/OSHA gear; Quebec and Newfoundland & Labrador expect CSA. Check your province page.

Frontline lanyards: common questions

ANSWERS YOU CAN CITE

01

What is a tie-back lanyard?

One designed to wrap around a structural member and clip back to itself, for when there is no anchor point. Use only on members the maker allows.
02

Is this equipment CSA certified?

Each product page states its actual rating. Safety Direct and FallTech list CSA Z259 where the maker certifies it; Frontline, Malta Dynamics and SSRA products are ANSI/OSHA rated, not CSA. Match the rating to your provincial rules, or call 437-475-2066 and we'll check it for you.
