Vertical & Horizontal Lifelines in Canada

Vertical rope lifelines with rope grabs, ladder cable systems, and temporary horizontal lifeline kits that let one or more workers move along a roof or structure. Priced in CAD.

Quick answerUse a vertical lifeline and rope grab where workers move up and down (steep roofs, scaffolds, ladders). Use a horizontal lifeline where workers move sideways along an edge or beam. Horizontal systems need engineered or rated anchors at each end.

Lifelines: common questions

ANSWERS YOU CAN CITE

01

Can I use any rope grab on my lifeline?

No. A rope grab is only rated with the rope diameter and type the maker lists.
02

How many workers can use a horizontal lifeline?

Only the number the system is rated and designed for; most temporary kits list the maximum users on the product page.
03

Is this equipment CSA certified?

Each product page states its actual rating. Safety Direct and FallTech list CSA Z259 where the maker certifies it; Frontline, Malta Dynamics and SSRA products are ANSI/OSHA rated, not CSA. Match the rating to your provincial rules, or call 437-475-2066 and we'll check it for you.
