FallTech 7530B 14" Trailing Beam Anchor, 3"–14" Flanges | ANSI Z359.18
FallTech 7530B Trailing Beam Anchor with Dual-Clamp — 3"–14" Flanges
CSA Z259.15 / ANSI Z359.18The FallTech 7530B is a trailing beam anchor built for structural steel work where the worker moves along an I-beam. The dual-clamp design grips flanges from 3" to 14" wide and trails behind the worker as they traverse the beam—always staying directly overhead for proper fall arrest geometry. Forged steel construction, 5,000 lb minimum breaking strength, and dual certification to CSA Z259.15 and ANSI Z359.18 make this the workhorse beam anchor for Canadian structural steel and industrial applications.
Overview
Beam anchors solve a problem fixed anchors can't: they let the worker move. On a long I-beam, a fixed anchor forces the worker to detach and reattach every time they reposition—slow and error-prone. A trailing beam anchor clamps onto the flange and slides along the beam as the worker walks, maintaining an always-overhead anchor point. The FallTech 7530B uses two opposing jaw clamps that grip the underside of the flange, with a primary D-ring on the bottom for lanyard or SRL attachment. The two-clamp design provides redundancy and distributes load across the flange. Adjustable to fit any flange from 3" (76 mm) through 14" (356 mm), covering virtually all structural I-beams, wide-flange beams, and similar shapes used in Canadian commercial and industrial construction.
Key Features
Dual-Clamp Design
Two opposing jaw clamps grip the underside of the beam flange for distributed load transfer and redundancy. One of the safest trailing beam anchor configurations available.
3"–14" Flange Range
Adjustable thumbscrew mechanism fits beam flanges from 3" (76 mm) through 14" (356 mm)—covering virtually all W-sections and I-beams.
Trailing / Self-Adjusting
Slides along the beam as the worker traverses. No reattachment required when repositioning — anchor stays with the worker.
Forged Steel Construction
Forged steel clamp bodies and D-ring with corrosion-resistant plating. Engineered for the shock loads encountered in industrial fall arrest.
Integrated D-Ring
Dedicated attachment D-ring on the underside provides a single compatible connection point for lanyards, SRLs, and rope grab systems.
Tool-Free Installation
Thumbscrews adjust to the flange width without wrenches. Install and remove quickly at start and end of the work shift.

CSA Certification Details
CSA Z259.15 — Anchorage Connectors
CSA Z259.15 is the Canadian standard that governs anchorage connectors in fall arrest and restraint systems. A certified beam anchor must demonstrate 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) minimum breaking strength and reliable attachment performance across the specified flange range. Canadian provincial OHS codes require anchor points used in fall arrest to be CSA Z259.15 certified or engineered for fall arrest loads. The 7530B's CSA Z259.15 certification satisfies this requirement without a per-installation engineer's stamp.
Applications
- Structural steel erection and decking
- Bridge and infrastructure maintenance
- Industrial plant and refinery work (overhead beams)
- Precast and tilt-up concrete construction
- Crane and rigger operations where beams serve as tie-off
- Warehouse and logistics facility maintenance
- Ironworker daily travel along long beam spans
How This Anchor Fits Into Your System
The 7530B is a standalone anchor — pair it with a compatible shock-absorbing lanyard or self-retracting lifeline connected to the worker's harness D-ring. For short falls and minimal arrest distance, pair with a personal self-retracting lifeline. For versatile anchor coverage when beam access isn't available, the C7372 Choker Anchor wraps structural members that beam clamps can't grip.
Compliance & Standards
Primary: CSA Z259.15 (Anchorage Connectors)
