Pre-Use Inspection & Post-Fall Requirements
Inspect both the harness and SRL before every use. Check all harness webbing for cuts, abrasions, burns, and UV degradation. Use the contrasting stitching as your primary stitching inspection reference and check the fall indicator on the back straps. For the SRL, inspect the housing for cracks or damage, verify the retraction mechanism functions smoothly, and check the shock pack protective cover for signs of activation. Any component subjected to a fall must be immediately removed from service and replaced regardless of apparent condition. The SRL should be returned to the manufacturer for inspection after any fall event. Follow manufacturer guidelines and applicable provincial OHS regulations at all times.
