Frontline RSBC Sealed Block Stainless Steel SRL, 50 ft & 80 ft | Canada. Frontline's IP68-rated sealed-block SRL for harsh environments such as oil and gas, offshore and wash-down work. A stainless steel sealed housing keeps dirt, grease, water and hazardous chemicals away from the internal parts; the wire rope lifeline is stainless too. A pivoting anchorage loop reduces cable friction when the alignment is not perfect, and a 360° stainless swivel snap hook with a built-in impact indicator ends the line. 50 ft (30 lb) or 80 ft (51 lb).

Is the Frontline RSBC CSA certified? Compliance in Canada

Is the Frontline RSBC CSA certified?

No. Frontline rates it to ANSI Z359.14, OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926. For a CSA-marked SRL, see our Safety Direct range.

What does IP68 mean for this SRL?

Under IEC 60529, IP68 covers dust resistance and protection against permanent submersion in water; Frontline seals the critical components so contaminants cannot reach them.

RSBC or RPG: which cable SRL?

The RSBC is the sealed stainless block for harsh, wet or corrosive sites; the Frontline RPG is the galvanized-cable SRL in a polymer housing for general construction. Both are 310 lb user units to ANSI Z359.14.

Can the RSBC be used at foot level or over an edge?

Frontline does not list the RSBC as a leading-edge SRL. For foot-level tie-off over an edge, use a leading-edge rated unit such as the Frontline RPGLE.

How often should the RSBC be inspected?

Before every use, and formally by a competent person at least once a year. Check the impact indicator on the snap hook; remove the unit from service after any fall and follow Frontline's service schedule.

Pair the Frontline RSBC SRL with a harness and anchor

The RSBC is the connecting device. Add a full-body harness and an overhead anchor rated for the system for a complete personal fall arrest system.
