Where crews use the Frontline SBW01 anchor
Structural steel
Weld a permanent D-ring anchor to a beam or column at each tie-off point.
Concrete walls and columns
Bolt on for the job, unbolt and take it to the next one.
Plant maintenance
Low-cost fixed anchors wherever crews return to the same spot.
Multi-direction tie-off
Tested for loading in more than one direction, so one anchor can serve work on either side.
Is the Frontline SBW01 CSA certified? Compliance in Canada
Is the Frontline SBW01 CSA certified?
No. Frontline rates it to ANSI Z359.18, ANSI A10.32, OSHA 1926 and OSHA 1910 and tests it in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited lab. For CSA-marked anchors, see our Safety Direct range.
Can the SBW01 be bolted instead of welded?
Yes. Frontline lists both: weld-on, or bolt-on, and on the bolt-on application it is reusable. Fasteners must suit the substrate and the 5,000 lb load; ask us for Frontline's instruction sheet.
What substrate does it need?
Most structural steel or concrete that can withstand the 5,000 lb required load, per Frontline. A competent person confirms the substrate.
How many workers can tie off to the SBW01?
Frontline rates the user capacity at 310 lb; treat it as a single-user anchor unless Frontline's instructions say otherwise.
How often should the SBW01 be inspected?
Before every use, and formally by a competent person at least once a year. Retire it after any fall or if the weld, bolts or D-ring show damage.
Pair the Frontline SBW01 anchor with an SRL or lanyard
The SBW01 is the anchorage connector. Add a full-body harness and an SRL or shock-absorbing lanyard for a complete personal fall arrest system.
