Is the Frontline ST18AV CSA certified? Compliance in Canada

Is the Frontline ST18AV CSA certified?

No. Frontline rates it to ANSI Z359.18, ANSI Z359.7, OSHA 1910.140, OSHA 1926.503 and EN 795:2012. For CSA-marked anchors, see our Safety Direct range.

What beam sizes fit the ST18AV?

I-beam flanges 4 in to 18 in wide, per Frontline. Frontline does not publish a flange thickness range for this model; ask us if your flange is unusually thick.

What is the difference between the ST18AV and the ST14V?

The ST18AV is aluminum, 5 lb, fits up to 18 in flanges and is rated for a 425 lb user; the ST14V is zinc-plated steel, 6.8 lb, fits 4 to 14 in flanges and is rated for 310 lb. Both are fixed clamps.

Does the ST18AV slide along the beam?

No. It is a fixed anchor. For a trailing anchor see the Frontline ST12AH / ST18AH sliders or the ST10HTK trolley.

How many workers can tie off to the ST18AV?

One. Frontline rates it for single-user connection with an SRL or a shock-absorbing lanyard.

Pair the Frontline ST18AV with an SRL or shock-absorbing lanyard

The ST18AV is the anchorage connector. Add a full-body harness and an SRL or shock-absorbing lanyard for a complete personal fall arrest system.
