Malta Dynamics A6317 Standing Seam Roof Anchor | Canada
STANDING SEAM ANCHORANSI Z359.18-2017 TYPE A · NON-PENETRATINGMODEL A6317
The Malta Dynamics A6317 clamps onto a standing seam metal roof without piercing the panel. The aluminum-alloy body with stainless steel hardware tightens onto the seam in a few minutes, and a swivel anchor point turns a full 360° so a self-retracting lifeline follows the worker instead of twisting. At about 2.4 lb it is a light anchor to carry up the ladder.
Malta Dynamics A6317 standing seam anchor key features
How to install the A6317 on a standing seam roof
Set the anchor over the seam and tighten until it no longer moves, without straining the wrench. Do not over-tighten, which can dent the panel. Test the anchor before loading it with full body weight, then attach your SRL or lanyard. On asymmetrical panels the two legs of the seam differ in length, so place the anchor on the raised interlocking seam with care.

Malta Dynamics A6317 standing seam roof anchor FAQ
Does the A6317 damage the roof?
No, when installed as directed. It clamps the seam rather than screwing through the panel; over-tightening can dent the seam, so stop when the anchor no longer moves.
Which seams does it fit?
Malta Dynamics says it is made for standing seam roofs with symmetrical or asymmetrical panels but does not publish a profile list. Send us a seam photo and we will confirm fit before you order.
Is the Malta Dynamics A6317 CSA certified?
No. It is certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017 Type A and meets OSHA guidelines. For a CSA-marked anchor, see our Safety Direct collection.
What do I connect to it?
A self-retracting lifeline or shock-absorbing lanyard for one worker; the swivel lets an SRL track the worker across the roof.
How often should it be inspected?
Before every use, and formally by a competent person at least once a year. Remove it from service after any fall.
