The Super Anchor Floor Joist Safety Bar is a temporary fall protection anchor for crews installing and decking engineered 2x4 floor joists. It follows the same design as the Safety Bar: it spans three trusses, locks in with stainless detent pins, and moves quickly as the deck goes down. Two workers tie off to it with energy-absorbing lanyards or SRLs. Three models: 1017-A for 24 in on centre, 1017-B for 16 in on centre, and the adjustable 1017-C for 12, 16 or 24 in.
Super Anchor 1017 Floor Joist Safety Bar key features
How to use the Floor Joist Safety Bar while decking floors
Set the bar across three engineered 2x4 floor joists and lock each leg with its stainless detent pin, following Super Anchor's Safety Bar instruction manual. Tap it square with a hammer on the 3/16 in bump bar. Two workers connect energy-absorbing lanyards or SRLs to it, then pull the pins and move it along as the decking advances. The 1017-C takes the 1017-G adjustable leg; replacement detent pin is 2015-2.2-6 for all models.
