FallTech 7021QC Journeyman Flex 1D Quick-Connect Non-Belted Harness

CSA Z259.10-2018 Class A
Key Specifications Single Dorsal D-Ring Full Quick-Connect Buckles Steel Hardware UniFit Sizing

The FallTech 7021QC Journeyman Flex is the quick-connect, full-size-range steel-hardware 1D non-belted harness. Every buckle — chest and both legs — is quick-connect with Visi-Lock visual indicators. Steel D-ring, steel spring-tension roller torso adjusters, and UniFit sizing make this the fast-don/doff choice for economy-tier crews. CSA Z259.10 Class A certified.

Overview

The 7021QC is the quick-connect version of the Journeyman Flex 7021 — same steel hardware and webbing, upgraded to full QC buckles on both legs and chest. You don and doff in seconds with gloves on, which matters most for crews who take their harness off at every break or need to switch between equipment. UniFit sizing covers S/M/L in one harness and is ideal for tool cribs. Dual-size 2X/3X covers larger body sizes. CSA Z259.10-2018 Class A and ANSI Z359.11-2014 certified.

Key Features

Full Quick-Connect Buckle System

Chest and both leg buckles are quick-connect with Visi-Lock visual indicators. Don and doff with gloves on — no threading of tongue buckles through grommets.

Steel Dorsal D-Ring

Plated alloy steel dorsal D-ring — durable, cost-effective, proven.

Steel Spring-Tension Torso Rollers

Simple torso adjusters with no camlock wear parts. Hold strap position reliably.

UniFit + Dual-Size 2X/3X

UniFit covers S/M/L in one harness. Dual-size 2X/3X covers larger users. Efficient sizing strategy for shared-harness programs.

Integrated Dorsal SRL Sleeve

Built-in routing sleeve for personal SRL attachment.

Ergonomic Padding

Shoulder yoke and leg pads contoured for reduced pressure during active work.

How to Choose the Right Harness

The 7021QC is the quick-connect upgrade from the FallTech 7021 (tongue-buckle version). If you don't need quick-connect legs and prefer tongue buckles for fit, the 7021 is the same harness at a lower price point. For aluminum hardware on a 1D harness, step up to the FallTech 7021B. For premium gel-infused padding, the FallTech 7080B Advanced ComforTech Gel is the top tier.

Compliance & Standards

Primary: CSA Z259.10-2018 Class A

Also Certified: ANSI Z359.11-2014

Provincial Coverage: Meets all Canadian provincial and territorial OHS requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between QC and mating buckles?
Mating buckles (like on the base 7021) thread through grommets and require two hands to secure. Quick-connect (QC) buckles snap together with one hand and include a visual indicator confirming engagement. QC is faster and more foolproof, especially with gloves.
How does dual-size 2X/3X work?
Dual-size 2X/3X is a single harness that fits both 2X and 3X body sizes through the full range of torso and leg strap adjustment. It reduces SKU complexity in a tool crib or rental fleet — one stocked size covers two body sizes.
Does this harness work in cold weather?
Yes — the quick-connect buckles are a specific advantage in cold weather because they operate with gloves on. Tongue buckles are a significant pain point in cold weather when workers have to strip gloves to thread webbing.
Is the spring-tension roller as secure as a camlock?
Yes — both are CSA Z259.10 certified and hold webbing position reliably under load. The spring-tension roller is simpler (fewer wear parts) and less expensive. The aluminum camlock on premium harnesses is faster to operate one-handed but costs more.
