Suspension trauma (orthostatic shock) can occur within minutes of a fall when a worker
is suspended motionless in a harness, restricting blood flow to the legs. The 100RCTB
includes integrated suspension trauma straps that allow a suspended
worker to stand up in the harness and relieve pressure on the femoral arteries —
buying critical time until rescue arrives. On road work and heavy construction sites

Pre-Use Inspection Requirements
Inspect the harness before every use. Check all webbing for cuts, abrasions, burns,
chemical damage, and UV degradation. Use the black contrasting stitching on orange
webbing as your primary stitching inspection reference — any broken or pulled stitching
is grounds for removal from service. Inspect the reinforced belt, rigid pad, and
reflective tape strips for damage or delamination. Verify all buckles, D-rings, and
hardware for proper function.
Any harness subjected to a fall must be immediately removed from service
and replaced, regardless of apparent condition. Follow manufacturer inspection guidelines
and applicable provincial OHS regulations at all times.
