Frontline LIS31S Combat™ 3' Single Leg Shock Absorbing Lanyard
SHOCK ABSORBING LANYARDANSI Z359.13 · OSHAMODEL LIS31S
The Frontline LIS31S Combat™ 3' Single Leg Snaphook Lanyard is a short fall arrest lanyard with the shock absorber built inside the webbing, so there is no bulky external pack. Made of high-strength polyester with snaphooks on both ends, it limits fall forces to 900 lb or less, and its impact indicators show at a glance when the lanyard has taken a fall and must come out of service. The 3 ft length suits work close to the anchor point, where a shorter lanyard cuts swing fall exposure.
Frontline LIS31S 3 ft shock absorbing lanyard features
When a 3 ft lanyard like the Frontline LIS31S fits the job
Choose the LIS31S when you work close to your anchor point and a 6 ft lanyard would leave slack: the shorter leg reduces swing fall exposure. Clip one snaphook to your harness back D-ring and the other to a compatible anchor rated for fall arrest, and work within reach of it.

Frontline LIS31S 3 ft single leg lanyard FAQ
Is the Frontline LIS31S lanyard CSA certified?
No. It meets or exceeds ANSI Z359.13-2013 and applicable OSHA standards. Check with your authority having jurisdiction whether an ANSI/OSHA lanyard is accepted on your site; if you need a CSA-marked lanyard, contact us and we will point you to one.
Where is the shock absorber on the LIS31S?
Inside the lanyard webbing. There is no external shock pack, which keeps the lanyard light and compact, and it still limits fall forces to 900 lb or less.
How do I know if the LIS31S has arrested a fall?
The impact indicators show it. Any lanyard that has taken a fall must be removed from service and replaced, even if it looks undamaged.
When should I pick a 3 ft lanyard over a 6 ft one?
When you work close to the anchor point and want less slack in the system, which reduces swing fall exposure.
Does the LIS31S need inspection before use?
Yes. Inspect the webbing, stitching, snaphooks and impact indicators before every use, following Frontline's instructions and your provincial OHS rules.
