Is the Frontline PSSW2R CSA certified? Compliance in Canada
Is the Frontline PSSW2R CSA certified?
No. Frontline states it conforms to ANSI Z359.3-2017, OSHA 1926 Subpart M and OSHA 1910. For CSA-marked positioning equipment, see our Safety Direct range.
Is a positioning chain fall arrest equipment?
No. A positioning device holds you in place at the work; it is used together with a separate fall arrest system (harness, SRL or shock-absorbing lanyard and anchor).
How does it connect to the harness?
Positioning assemblies connect to the harness side (hip) D-rings; the rebar hook goes over the rebar. Follow Frontline's instructions for the connection sequence.
Why swivelling hooks?
So the chain does not twist as you move: Frontline fits swivels for better user positioning.
How often should the PSSW2R be inspected?
Before every use, and formally by a competent person at least once a year. Remove it from service after any fall or if a hook, swivel or link shows damage.
Pair the Frontline PSSW2R with a harness and fall arrest system
The PSSW2R is a positioning device. Add a full-body harness with side D-rings and a separate SRL or lanyard and anchor for fall arrest.
