Is the Frontline DT anchor CSA certified? Compliance in Canada
Is the Frontline DT drop-thru anchor CSA certified?
No. Frontline rates it to ANSI Z359.18, ANSI Z359.7, OSHA 1910.140 and OSHA 1926.503. For CSA-marked anchors, see our Safety Direct range.
Which plate size do I need, 6 in or 12 in?
The plate must be larger than the opening it drops through and bear fully on a surface that can take the load. Use the 12 in plate for larger openings or grating; measure the opening first.
Which cable length should I pick?
2 ft keeps the connection point close to the surface; 6 ft reaches down through thick decks or to a lower connection point. Keep the total system fall clearance in mind.
Is the DT anchor penetrating?
No. It is a non-penetrating anchor; nothing is drilled, cast in or welded, and it lifts out when the job is done.
How often should the DT anchor be inspected?
Before every use, and formally by a competent person at least once a year. Retire it after any fall or if the cable, tubing or plate coating is damaged.
Pair the Frontline DT anchor with an SRL or lanyard
The DT is the anchorage connector. Add a full-body harness and an SRL or shock-absorbing lanyard for a complete personal fall arrest system.
